Camden County is committed to being a destination for ALL travelers. We ensure equitable and inclusive locations to accommodate a diversity of needs. Our hope is that all visitors are welcomed with kindness, able to explore with confidence and overjoyed with natural beauty Camden County has to offer all around them.   


This is our current list of accessible destinations within our county. This list continues to grow, and we will attempt to update as frequently as additions are added to our community. Accessible Adventures in Camden County


Dismal Swamp State Park

About: The Dismal Swamp State Park is the largest remaining swamp in the southeastern US and home to hiking and biking trails. The park’s boardwalk and Visitor Center are ADA accessible, offering an interactive museum, wildlife exhibits, picnic tables,

restrooms, and interpretive signs.

Dismal Swamp Canal Trail

About: Adjacent to the park sits the Dismal Swamp Canal Trail, a three-mile paved trail, great for wildlife photography. The trail is ADA accessible, offering interpretive signs, benches, and a great location for birding.

Camden Community Park

About: All inclusive playground featuring music equipment and electronic-pulse table tennis. Adjacent to the playground are a paved track, tennis court, ball fields, disc golf course, covered picnic pavilion & restrooms.
